Brief introduction to the internet for unworldy judge

By Otto Spijkers

woolwich_cr.jpgThis is the kind of story that will probably appear all over the blogosphere. Mr Justice Peter Openshaw, a UK judge overseeing the trial of three alleged Muslim "cyber-terrorists", suddenly said, in the middle of the trial: "The trouble is I don’t understand the language. I don’t really understand what a website is." And thus a computer expert was brought in to give the judge a brief Power Point introduction to the internet. "The internet", explained the expert Prof. Tony Sams (not to be confused with the comedian with almost the same name) to the judge of Woolwich Crown Court, "is a complex communication system. What you need to do is log into the system either through a telephone cable or perhaps through a television cable." Does anyone know where I can find this Power Point presentation? – Otto
