Lectureship in Public & International Law at American University in Cairo

The Department of Political Science invites applications for a tenure-track position in Public and International Law at the Assistant or Associate Professor level beginning September 2011. Applicants should have a research and teaching specialization in public international law in addition to teaching courses in other related topics, including e.g., Egyptian Law and Law and Development. The Search Committee is eager to review applications of individuals with demonstrated excellence in teaching, and an interest in living and working in the Middle East. The American University in Cairo is committed to recruiting a diverse faculty to complement the diversity of its student body.

Requirements:

PhD or L.L.M. is required by date of appointment. A potential for
excellence in research is expected. In addition to teaching and
research, the successful candidate will also participate in departmental
and University wide service.
