Tegenlicht, one of my favorite programs on Dutch television, has put some of its documentaries on YouTube. English subtitles and voice-over have been added to a few of the documentaries, which makes them accessible to a significantly larger audience. This, for example, is a documentary made by Jos de Putter. It is called ‘In Memoriam Aleksander Litvinenko’, and, as the title suggests, it is about Aleksander Litvinenko, the former member of the Russian secret service who recently died under highly suspect circumstances. The documentary, which contains an interview with Litvinenko himself recorded in 2004, may help to find out how – and why – he died.
There are many other interesting documentaries. For example, there’s a documentary about the Israel Lobby in the United States of America. – Otto
